Mechanical Seals are available as per ANSI, ISO, DIN& API standards and sold under registered trademark “JAIN SEALS”. To analysis the performance of all new design, mechanical seals undergo static, dynamic and cyclic testing as per API 682 standards on in house developed mechanical test rig. The static and dynamic tests are performed for 4 hours and 100 hours respectively as per international requirements and according to API 682 standards.

Mechanical Shaft Seal Testing as per API 682 standards

To analysis the performance of new design, the mechanical seals are tested as per API 682 standards. Every new mechanical seal designed should go through three tests viz. Static, Dynamic and Cyclic tests.

Static Test : Tests are done at constant pressure and temperature at zero rpm. The duration of test is 4 hours.

Dynamic Test : Tests are done at constant pressure and temperature at 3000 rpm. The duration of test is 100 hours and performed at base point conditions.

Cyclic Test : Combination of static and dynamic test conditions.
